It is back to school time again! Even as I am typing those words it is hard to believe it is already here. It feels like just yesterday my girls made it through such a hard school year and we were looking forward to the fun days of summer ahead. There is no question that last year was a challenging year for every family and as we head into this fall with so much uncertainty a lot of those anxious and wary feelings are coming back to the surface.

I might not have the answers or know what lies ahead in the 2021/2022 school year but I know one thing for sure: organization provides comfort, consistency and calm in otherwise uncertain times. I have always said that organization is so much more than just organizing your physical space. Organization can be used to support your mental wellbeing as well. When you have an organized space or you use organization to streamline your time or routines it takes away a level of uncertainty and provides a constant for you and your family.

Today, I have pulled together some of my very favorite products for staying organized this school year. Will these items make your child less worried about a new classroom or you about sending your kids to school in general? No. But adding systems and organization to your family and child’s routine will help make it just that much easier. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good freshly sharpened bouquet of pencils as much as the next girl but consider adding in a few of these organization focused supplies this back to school to help streamline your days, weeks and school year.

Two of my very favorite pieces for back to school are a really lunch box and homework caddy. Nothing will streamline back to school more than an organized morning without the stress of lunch packing and creating a homework caddy allows your child to keep all homework essentials in one spot but be able to transfer from the kitchen table to desk.

TELL ME: what are your favorites for back to school? And don’t for get to check out some of our other back to school blog posts here.

Acrylic wall calendars are the best! If you want to support a women-owned small shop instead of a big box store…Circle and Square decor makes custom ones that ship in 1-3 business days

Rachel, thanks for the ideas! My favorite accessory would be a purse big enough to carry my iPad, as well as my wallet, phone, and several accessories. Tip: my keys have a clip so they can attach to the ring at the base of the strap on any of my purses. My keys never get lost any more. 🙂

    • Rachel Rosenthal says:

That is such a great suggestion! Keeping ourselves organized is critical for keeping our kids organized. And there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to find your keys!!
