I hosted my first ever in-person retreat – appropriately called THE RETREAT – in collaboration with my friend and bestselling author Shira Gill. It was truly a life-giving experience designed for creative lifestyle entrepreneurs seeking a reset in both their personal and professional lives. THE RETREAT took place at beautiful Los Poblanos, an organic lavender farm in New Mexico. Over the course of three days, our group of 20 women embarked on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and business growth.
Los Poblanos provided an idyllic backdrop for THE RETREAT, with its lush surroundings and Insta-worthy ambiance. Our workshops and meals were hosted outdoors, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty and gorgeous weather.
The women who attended were nothing short of amazing. Hailing from various parts of the country, (and one from Amsterdam!) each participant brought a unique perspective and represented a different type of business. From professional organizers and wedding planners to life coaches and a designer of exquisite handbags, the diverse range of backgrounds fostered a rich environment for collaboration and learning.
We meticulously planned THE RETREAT to offer a comprehensive experience for attendees. Each morning, we began with an invigorating yoga session in a yurt, sponsored by Williams Sonoma. This mindful start to the day helped set a positive and focused tone for our activities. California Closets graciously hosted the first night’s dinner, and attendees had the chance to win a generous $3,000 giveaway toward their Everyday Solution custom closet design. Our welcome bags were thoughtfully curated with sustainable and luxurious products from esteemed partners such as SuperGoop, W+P Design, Credo Beauty, Follain, and SugarPaper LA.
THE RETREAT proved to be an incredible opportunity for personal and professional growth. We bonded, supported, and learned from one another, exchanging valuable insights and experiences. Laughter and tears filled the air as we navigated the challenges and successes of entrepreneurship together. THE RETREAT provided space for self-reflection and rejuvenation, allowing us to step away from the day-to-day operations of our businesses and focus on strategic planning and long-term goals.
So many of us small business owners are craving a sense of community and are looking for a safe space to bounce ideas off one another, learn from each other, dive deeper into our own businesses and have others around us be cheerleaders. We crave the support we truly need to push us towards gratefulness and towards the actionable steps we need to be taking to grow our businesses and ourselves. Shira and I have designed THE RETREAT to provide just that – a chance to cultivate community in a stunning and restorative environment.
The success of THE RETREAT inspired us to plan another remarkable experience in 2024. Details will be announced very soon (as in days!), so please make sure to get on the waitlist HERE and sign up for my newsletter HERE, to stay informed.
And as I look back on the memories during our time together, I am filled with gratitude for the chance to empower and be inspired by incredible female entrepreneurs. From the picturesque setting and to the beautiful connections formed, THE RETREAT was a catalyst for personal and professional growth. The journey continues, and I eagerly await the next chapter of THE RETREAT in 2024, where we will continue to foster a supportive community and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship.
