An Organized Lifestyle

What I’m Thankful for in 2018 (plus an exciting announcement!)

In the midst of all the Thanksgiving festivities, I wanted to share a quick note of thanks for the long list of people that I want to recognize for making 2018 one of the best years yet.

This year has been full of projects that have pushed our creativity and bandwidth to the maximum, goal-setting that has me looking forward to what’s on the horizon, and opportunities to connect with fellow entrepreneurs, organizers, and mom bosses that make me dream bigger than I ever thought possible. To say I’m really excited about what’s in store for the little business that I started nearly 11 years ago is an understatement. I am grateful for taking that leap what seems like a lifetime ago since it has given me the freedom and passion in a career that I truly love.

This year started off a bit rocky as I was trying to navigate my new normal after being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (more about that here). But, I’m happy to say that I can now look back on those early months and recognize the health and lifestyle improvements that have been made over the last 11 months. It’s been quite the journey! My family has been instrumental in giving me the care that I need and they continue to be the rocks that support me and push me to be the best version of myself.

Speaking of support, without my team I wouldn’t be able to take on all that I do. They continue to amaze me with their determination, creativity, and work ethic. Lindsey, Sarah, Barbie, Cindy, Annika, Hannah, Katie, Lexi, Rebecca, and Sameeha…you guys are rockstars and I would be nowhere without you. And to our crew of hardworking handymen, thank you for (literally) taking the weight off of our shoulders on countless projects. Vendors help make my big ideas a reality. It’s a pleasure to work alongside so many talented interior designers, closet companies, and builders on projects, and a dream to have Laura Metzler Photography capture so much of the fun.

New this year I launched the Organizing Business Insiders, a private Facebook community for fellow professional organizers and a place where we can bounce ideas off of one another and help to grow and support our businesses. The group recently reached a milestone of 600 members! Let me tell you one thing: there are so many talented organizers around the world who are doing amazing things and I am thankful to have their support and encouragement in projects that I take on, all with the goal to make the best client experience. Speaking of clients…

I am amazed that I have worked with over 2,00 clients. That number makes my jaw drop because that symbolizes 2,000+ times where people have believed in me and my services, and 2,000+ times where I played a role in improving the organization in their homes. I’ve said it many times and I will say it again: your physical clutter impacts your mental clutter, and knowing that I play a part in reducing mental clutter and help to create a more organized lifestyle for a client is such an honor. This year, I’ve had the opportunity to share my organizing tips as I’ve taken on more partnerships with small and national businesses to help spread the word about their products and services and get organizing advice in front of their audience’s. Each opportunity has been such a fun, creative, and rewarding process.

And finally, if you are reading this I am thankful for YOU. Chances are you are following my business account on social media or are on the newsletter list (or both?!), and for that I am grateful. I pour a lot of energy into the weekly blog posts and daily social media shares, and knowing that you stop by to check in on the latest updates with my blog and business means the world to me. Truly, you keep me (and this site!) running!

Speaking of websites, you may have noticed that things look a bit different around here and that the website has officially changed to www.rachelrosenthal.co. Designed with the user in mind, the insanely talented Rebecca Orlov from Orlov Design Co. created a beautiful site to showcase the many avenues and aspects of my business. Did you know that I do more than in-home organizing? If not, take a glance at a few of the other services that I offer:

And in an effort to extend my thanks, I’m offering 20% off all Life Designed products, the Playbook, and my online course through Sunday (11/25) when you use the code THANKS at checkout.

Wishing you all a wonderful day with family and friends, and please know that you have truly made my day just by being here. The words “thank you” will never feel like enough to show my gratitude.
