Years ago when my identical twins were in preschool I remember them coming home from school with a gift for me around Thanksgiving. Their teachers had helped the students turn their handprints into little turkeys, which they dried out and then framed for each of the parents. To me, it was the most thoughtful gift that I could have received (#proudparent). The art of their tiny hands immediately made me feel proud to be their mom and brought me joy, which is something that I try to keep in mind while choosing holiday gifts for everyone on my list.
A MEMORABLE AND SENTIMENTAL GIFT IDEA
Photos are the type of category that I would never discourage a client from keeping. Sure, it’s a sentimental category that doesn’t get a lot of use being stored in a box or buried in your phone, but more often than not photos bring positive emotions, memories, and a type of nostalgia that no other physical gift can bring.
This year I worked with Framebridge to gift create memorable, one-of-a-kind gifts for a couple of people on my list, including my husband.
What I love about Framebridge is that from start to finish it took 5 minutes to create a beautifully made, thoughtful gift. You can upload your digital file through their website, or fill out a bit of information to have a box sent to your house to pick up the item that you want to get framed (yes, I said item. Framebridge isn’t limited to just photo framing!).
Then, you select from one of their frames (I chose the Aiden) and it’s off to the print + frame shop. Seriously, that’s it. Within a week the gifts showed up on my doorstep, ready to be hung up on the wall–or in my case, ready to be wrapped.
Whether you’re in the market for a perfect gift to give your in-laws, a thoughtful idea for a friend, or a unique gift for a person who has everything, sentimental gifts are always a crowd pleaser (the best part: their relatively clutter-free)!
