A few weeks ago I shared my bathroom organization update featuring the new The Home Edit by iDesign line of bathroom products for The Container Store (see that post here). Since then the pictures of my bathroom have been shared all over Instagram – from The Container Store (here) and iDesign (here) all the way to The Home Edit (here). It has been amazing to see the project get so much attention and tens of thousands of likes.

Through all of this resharing and posting there have been a lot of comments about the organization and “product” (any Get Organized with The Home Edit on Netflix fans out there). However, there have been just as many comments about all of the clean beauty products in my bathroom. As many of you may know I have Hashimoto’s Disease (more on that here) and have been on a journey for over 3 years now to convert as many items in my life to clean products. Removing toxins is something that my body struggles to do with Hashimoto’s so giving it less work by living a cleaner and greener lifestyle is important to me. Because there has been so much attention and talk about the clean beauty in my bathroom I wanted to share some of my favorites and go-tos this week.

If you are working towards a fully clean beauty routine it is important to keep in mind that I didn’t start out immediately using all clean beauty products. It has taken me several years to get fully converted and a lot of trial and error, If you are looking to change over your makeup and beauty the biggest tip I can give is to start with one category and try products that someone else has recommended (a friend, blog post, me) vs. starting from scratch. So many of us have been testing products for a long time that you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. The process can feel overwhelming to do everything at once so take it slow but know that there are so many amazing products out there and the change is worth it in the end!

TELL ME: do you use clean beauty products? What prompted you to make the switch? What are your favorites?
