How Organization Can Help to Reduce Stress

One of the reasons I love my job is that it ensures that no two days look the same. While most of my days are full of client walkthroughs and overseeing organizing projects and designs, some days I’m out of town for work and other days I’m flexing my expert skills in front of an audience. I was brought on as the organizing expert to discuss how organization can help to reduce stress, and this topic is something that I couldn’t wait to share on the blog because I know that so many of us are in the same boat.

How organization can cut down on food waste

As a busy mom, I’ve learned a thing or two about how kitchen organization can impact not only what we eat, but how we eat. How you approach organization in your kitchen – all with an emphasis on making good food choices- can help save time and reduce waste. There’s a change in the air…

Here we are in mid-September. Summer is officially over. The kids are back in school. You can feel a hint of crispness in the air when you walk out the door each morning. I’m inspired to muse about the changes I anticipate for myself, and particularly, my business. I don’t like to let things get to comfortable and I am constantly striving to figure out new and innovative ways to expand Rachel & Company. So what’s ahead you might ask? I’m excited to create more online classes, expand the rachel-company.com Shop page, and continue to partner with other amazing groups to promote new ideas and offerings…

How I am getting organized now to make summer actually feel like summer

Like many families are currently experiencing, the beginning of summer signals the end of the school year and with that comes the beginning of a schedule (or lack thereof) that is far from our typical September-June routine that we’ve nailed down over the years. Today, June 1st, I turn 40. I am closing out my most challenging, rewarding, and life altering decade. Here is a little insight into my life and how I navigated it all!

My Wedding Day Plans And How I Keep Organized

We are in the midst of wedding season and–as I’m sure many of you know–the amount of choices and to-dos can make anyone feel a little overwhelmed. Packing is not a fun task, but–similar to organizing–when you create a system to help get the job done you are not only going to cut down on the time it takes to get ready for a trip, but you’ll also spare yourself the stress, second-guessing, and overstuffing that is commonly associated with it.  Creating a packing list, planning outfits in advance, and preparing for just-in-case moments will make your travel experience go a lot smoother.
