Project Lead & Onsite Organizer

Note: Previous organizing experience is not required, but a willingness to take direction from clients and firm Leadership as well as a familiarity with luxury service industries and related expectations are a must.

Client + Project Leadership
  • Lead client projects end-to-end including walkthroughs, decluttering, organizing, private relocation, and closet projects
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients in person and via email
  • Keep projects moving with strong follow-through, timelines, and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with clients on solutions that align with Rachel & Company’s approach and aesthetic
  • Plan and source organizing products and supplies as needed
  • Manage multiple projects at once and stay on top of logistics, notes, and next steps

Onsite Operations
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact in client homes and project locations
  • Execute project plans and flag any adjustments needed to leadership
  • Support scheduling and admin-related details connected to project execution
  • Make real-time decisions that protect the client experience and keep the day running smoothly

Team Leadership
  • Direct workflow on-site and manage team members throughout the day
  • Set the tone with calm, confident leadership and clear communication
  • Hold the team to our quality standards while keeping morale high
  • Solve problems quickly and professionally without rattling the client experience

Collaboration + Growth
  • Coordinate with leadership and outside vendors so project plans are clear and documented
  • Help improve systems, processes, and efficiency as we grow

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in a client-facing industry (hospitality, luxury retail, real estate, events, executive assistant, concierge, interior design, etc.)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage people, direct workflow, and maintain high standards
  • Excellent judgment, professionalism, and discretion in clients’ homes
  • A high bar for quality, details, and follow-through
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and able to adapt when plans change
  • Loves organizing, systems, and creating order (professional organizing experience is a plus, not required)
  • Comfortable with physical work including lifting, carrying, sorting, and being on your feet for hours
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite
  • A “no job is too big or too small” mindset

Organizing experience is not required. What matters most is that you understand high-touch service, can lead confidently on-site, and will protect the Rachel & Company standard at every step.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Consistent weekday availability during typical business hours
  • Ability to travel to client homes across the Washington, DC area (primarily Monday–Thursday)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance
  • Ability to work physically and stay focused throughout longer project days
