Project Lead & Onsite Organizer 

Rachel & Company is a fast-growing professional organizing and private relocation firm based in the Washington, DC area. We deliver calm, white-glove support for clients who value discretion, quality, and high-touch service. We’re hiring for two roles and looking for college-educated, polished, client-facing professionals who can keep up our standards, communicate clearly, and follow through. Team leadership experience is a plus for some roles, but for every position we’re looking for someone who can own the details, stay one step ahead on-site, and represent the Rachel & Company standard with clients and the team.

Client + Project Leadership
  • Lead client projects end-to-end including walkthroughs, decluttering, organizing, private relocation, and closet projects
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients in person and via email
  • Keep projects moving with strong follow-through, timelines, and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with clients on solutions that align with Rachel & Company’s approach and aesthetic
  • Plan and source organizing products and supplies as needed
  • Manage multiple projects at once and stay on top of logistics, notes, and next steps

Onsite Operations
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact in client homes and project locations
  • Execute project plans and flag any adjustments needed to leadership
  • Support scheduling and admin-related details connected to project execution
  • Make real-time decisions that protect the client experience and keep the day running smoothly

Team Leadership
  • Direct workflow on-site and manage team members throughout the day
  • Set the tone with calm, confident leadership and clear communication
  • Hold the team to our quality standards while keeping morale high
  • Solve problems quickly and professionally without rattling the client experience

Collaboration + Growth
  • Coordinate with leadership and outside vendors so project plans are clear and documented
  • Help improve systems, processes, and efficiency as we grow

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in a client-facing industry (hospitality, luxury retail, real estate, events, executive assistant, concierge, interior design, etc.)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage people, direct workflow, and maintain high standards
  • Excellent judgment, professionalism, and discretion in clients’ homes
  • A high bar for quality, details, and follow-through
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and able to adapt when plans change
  • Loves organizing, systems, and creating order (professional organizing experience is a plus, not required)
  • Comfortable with physical work including lifting, carrying, sorting, and being on your feet for hours
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite
  • A “no job is too big or too small” mindset

Organizing experience is not required. What matters most is that you understand high-touch service, can lead confidently on-site, and will protect the Rachel & Company standard at every step.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Consistent weekday availability during typical business hours
  • Ability to travel to client homes across the Washington, DC area (primarily Monday–Thursday)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance
  • Ability to work physically and stay focused throughout longer project days

(Washington, DC Area)

ONSITE ORGANIZER (Washington, DC Area)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support organizing and move projects in client homes including decluttering, sorting, labeling, and organizing
  • Help create systems that are both functional and visually cohesive
  • Assist with product prep and project execution including bins, labels, supplies, and staging
  • Keep work areas tidy and professional throughout the day
  • Follow direction from Project Managers and Leads and leadership with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients and team members on-site
  • Help ensure the final result reflects Rachel & Company standards and aesthetic

*Note: Previous organizing experience is not required, but our organizers create solutions that take our client’s style and gives it the Rachel and Company aesthetic. This is a collaborative environment and being open to direction and luxury industry expectations are a must.

PART TIME

  • Ability to move quickly and stay focused during physically active project days
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things the right way

  • Appreciation for luxury service expectations and high standards
  • Able to take direction and feedback well
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite is a plus

Organizing experience is not required. What matters most is professionalism, a love of systems, and a willingness to work hard and learn quickly.
